About The Crafted Page
Where every story feels like home.
The Crafted Page began with a love of stories — and the belief that the spaces we gather in matter just as much as the books we read.
I’m the founder behind The Crafted Page, and like many lifelong readers, I’ve always been drawn to the quiet comfort of bookshops: the creak of wooden floors, the feeling of discovering something unexpected, the simple pleasure of sitting with a warm drink and a good story.
Alongside reading, I’ve always loved making — crochet hooks in hand, thoughtful gifts wrapped in brown paper and ribbon, small details that turn something ordinary into something meaningful.
Over time, those two passions began to merge into a larger vision.
The Crafted Page is the dream of creating an independent bookshop café and creative space in Northumberland — a welcoming place where curated books sit alongside handmade crafts, where workshops encourage creativity, and where people can gather without rush or pressure.
A place to browse.
A place to learn.
A place to belong.
While the physical space is still in development, The Crafted Page is already taking shape online. Through carefully selected “Blind Date With a Book” collections, handmade crochet pieces, and the introduction of intimate, beginner-friendly workshops, this vision is being built thoughtfully and intentionally.
Every step is guided by three principles:
Curated with Care — Books and products are chosen not by trend, but by quality and feeling.
Community First — This project is shaped by conversation, feedback, and shared enthusiasm.
Slow & Meaningful — The Crafted Page is about creating space for connection, creativity and quiet joy.
This isn’t simply about opening a shop. It’s about building something sustainable and rooted in place — a space that supports local makers, encourages learning, and offers a different pace from the everyday.
If you have found your way here at this early stage, you are part of the story already.
Thank you for being here at the beginning.
